Crew Scheduling Phasing Plan (CSPP)

A CSPP specifies the quantitative and qualitative manpower as dictated by the test and construction schedule for the ship involved. It also establishes the methodology, requirements, tasks and resources necessary for incremental phased manning of the ship. The manpower requirements are based upon the Proposed Preliminary Ship’s Manpower Document (PSMD).

The CSPP consists of two volumes. Volume I contains the crew scheduling and phasing rationale, explanation of crew training, description and composition of each phase, crew utilization and contribution, an implementation plan and a "How to Use" guide for the CSPP. Volume II contains the schedule of training required for each individual crew member prior to reporting to the shipbuilding site and, in specific training pipelines, identifies additional training received at the shipbuilding site.
