FLTMPS/IBFT Integration
Help support the effort by NAVSEA 03 to enter all formal training requirements generated by new system acquisition and introduction. Subject Matter Experts review the documentation to determine the training impact on ships receiving the new equipment installation.
The Navy Training Management Planning System is utilized to determine the appropriate training courses to support new equipment introduction. These requirements are added to the FLTMPS database to allow shipboard Training Officers to schedule training in advance to ensure new systems are properly supported.
All formal training delivered in support of NAVSEA acquisition programs and supported systems are managed via the IBFT module in FLTMPS. The FLTMPS web site, sponsored by Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) and managed by Naval Personnel Development Command (NPDC), is a continuous, methodical, and flexible collaborative process. The IBFT process allows NPDC Learning Centers to evaluate the training solutions provided by NAVSEA Program Managers prior to becoming TYCOM approved training requirements.
